The Journey to Eternal Life

Welcome to the biggest decision of your life. Before you proceed, you should know that God loves you.  God has always loved you.  The Bible says, "For God so loved the world (that includes you), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). The following scriptures*** are provided to help you understand why everyone who is born needs a Savior.  Please read them and then answer the question after each verse.

 1. Romans 3:23—“All have sinned”

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Question: What does this say to you?

2. Romans 6:23—“Wages of sin is death”

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Question:  What does this say to you?

3. John 3:3—“Must be born again”

“In reply, Jesus declared, ‘I tell you the truth, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ ”

Question:  Why did Jesus come to die?

4. John 14:6—“I’m the way”

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ ”

Question:  What does this say to you?

5. Romans 10:9–11—“If you confess

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, ‘Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’ ”

Question:  What does this say to you?

6. 2 Corinthians 5:15—“No longer live for themselves”

“And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”

Question:  What does this say to you?

7. Revelation 3:20—“Here I am standing at your door”

“ ‘Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.’ ”

Question:  What does this say to you?

5 Commitment Questions***

Hey, you are almost there. Now comes the part where you must be honest with yourself.

1.            Are you a sinner?

2.            Do you want forgiveness of sins?

3.            Do you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and rose again?

4.            Are you willing to surrender your life to Jesus Christ?

5.            Are you ready to invite Jesus Christ into your life and into your heart?

Sinner’s Prayer

Pray the following prayer and receive God's free gift of salvation today!!

Heavenly Father, I have been living outside of our will. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I understand that I have sinned against you. I want forgiveness for all my sins. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. I repent of my sinful life and desire to live a life of righteousness. By Faith, I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I receive Jesus into my heart as the Lord and Savior of my life. This I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Congratulations

If you have sincerely repented of your sin, put your faith in Christ, and called upon His name to save you, then, according to the Bible, you’re saved and a Christian. The Bible says, “Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, New Living Translation) Welcome to the family of God!

Angels in Heaven are rejoicing, and we at the Tabernacle of Praise Seaford Church would love to celebrate with you as well. If you prayed to receive Christ, please let us know. We would love to thank God for what He’s done in your life. We would also like to send you some free materials that will help you get started in the Christian life.
